Upgrade Update

It's been exactly 3 months since the last blog so time for an update!

We have done virtually no sailing since returning from Tasmania but instead have been busy with upgrades to X-Pat to address many of the issues that we identified on our trip. So here is the progress so far.

New Eutectic Plate in the Fridge plus cold beer!

New fridge compressor under the sink

165 Amp Balmar Alternator and new pulleys

400 Ahr Lithium Battery plus controller and associated wiring

Extended rails around the cockpit

Re-designed bow fitting for furler line to reduce friction

Plus a lot of other electrical work including re-wiring the mast, a new anemometer at the top, new mast mounted steaming and deck light, new Sea Talk backbone on the instrument system.

The bank balance is looking sad!
